My sympathies Malady...congrats on growing up (even if you had to do it kicking and screaming) Husbands. Can't live with 'em, can't turn them into stew without a reeeeally big crock pot...(joking) Happy holidays!
I don't know if any of these arguments will help you, but they help me justify the Costco thing (we go a handful of times a year): -Environmentally it can cut down on the amount of trips to the store and back by buying in bulk; -Environmentally, there's less packaging when buying in bulk; -Costco is a solid blue progressive company so I know my dollars don't go to fighting against causes I believe in; Maybe there's something here that can help you with your cause.
ummm..i'm 100% on your side. not only will costco save on diapers now (and wipes and organic baby food), but milk and and food and whatnot later when baby has teeth. your hubby feels like an equal now. after two or more kids he will realize that you are more able to make these decisions. so will you :-)
I have been waiting for a new blog, Malady....and just as I thought, this one made me laugh and then of course nod my head in understanding. There's definitely a similar sentiment going around our house these days: how to save money and how to argue without traumatizing our child! Thanks for the blog and hope your family has a peaceful and warm holiday!
Suzanimated, I'm sorry you are sad. But if I wrote about the lovey-dovey moments between me and Jon it just wouldn't be funny. Despite the fact that we are currently in a heated debate over sleep-training methods, we still love each other very much.

I love your strip, but because there's never anything nice about your husband and marriage on it, it makes me sad.
