Oh, my, gawd. That last picture had me laughing in a room by myself... especially with the last word! LOL! OMFG. You are a delight.
Um, I have the same exact problem that you have. I think it's either called a lack of focus or an abundance of lazy. I like door #1 as #2 just makes me feel bad.
Either way, your cartoons are wonderful and my Blogshelf app is always a better place when one pops up. Please keep it up.
I feel the exact same way about myself. I look around at all I need to and end up sitting on the couch doing nothing but surfing the internet, watching bad TV, reading and feeling shitty about myself.
Hey, come on now, don't be so hard on yourself. You are a great cartoonist, and you make us laugh. Especially with the skillz to combine "yoga" and "turd" in one brilliant post! :)
Funny thing, I am the exact same way. I love to draw, paint, play/make music, take video and pictures(artistically), play video games. I want to: work out (bike rides, runs, lifting, etc). Anytime I think about attempting any of these, it's like they all get in a fight and I just sit and watch Netflix while they duke it out.
However, those who can't do sometimes teach, and hot damn if I didn't go to school for Graphic Design! I can teach someone to use the Pen Tool! Heh heh.
And now I'm sad again, because I realize that the degree I went to school for is in a field that I hate.
Don't mind me, just airing my thoughts!
I enjoy your comic so far though, you should definitely keep it up. As for our issues with being a useless turd: My friend has suggested blocking out parts of your days for certain activities. Easy enough with things like exercise... but creative things are a bit trickier - you can't plan creative time, inspiration is like a ninja assassin(or IBS, however you wanna look at it). It can and will strike at any time - even the worst possible moment! Mine is usually when I'm at work or getting ready to drift into sleep.
ANYWAY; great comic. If anything, your comic is a useful outlet of your energy and hardships, which in turn end up affecting and inspiring many others who stumble upon it. (I found your comic via the Portland subreddit here www.reddit.com/r/portland )

I think you're a pretty damn, uhh, I mean darn good cartoonist. I can't even draw a line, much less a straight one.
And you're pretty darn funny too! : )
You ARE.
Yep... ya are.
You accomplished the last. Completely. Don't doubt how brilliant you are.
I'm well acquainted with the "useless turd" phenomenon.
I don't know, I think you're doing alright. Except for that yoga pose, cause that's just crazy.
I say go for it!! Just don't name your comic strip: "useless Turd".
LOL

I feel your pain in the struggle with those bezier curves in Illustrator!
You are awesome and I love that yoga pose - impressive (if only just a drawing and not a real life pose). :)

Just take it one day at a time. Maybe give yourself a month off from something. I feel the same way with my photography business.
