I did hypnobirthing while I was pregnant with my daughter and it was wonderful. I fell asleep every night while doing the exercises (is sleeping still a problem for you?), and I still use the techniques to this day. (My daughter turned 2 a few months ago.)
I firmly believe that this is also why she was such a calm, yet alert, baby. In the early days I could also play the CD that I used to practice to and she would almost instantly calm down. Totally different than my son, who I had first, when I didn't know about hypnobirthing. Have fun!
I had not heard of this until now. I was in labor w/ my first son for 32 hours and it ended w/ a c-section because my body was just not opening up for him.
Gah I love your blog already, 2 posts into it. How creative and honest.
The peeing yourself thing, no one tells you that it can continue even after the pregnancy - yikes.
